Before I get into the technical magic of how this works, I want to share why I fell in love with this process.
Years ago, when our son was a baby, we created a whimsical mural for him—a big, beautiful tree full of playful frogs and tiny details etched with love. It was a backdrop to his childhood. But, as life moves on, we eventually had to move. We had to leave that mural behind, knowing it would be painted over by the new owners.
For a long time, that memory just existed in old photos and our minds.
But with this new technology, I was able to take a photo of that mural and engrave it inside a solid block of crystal. Now, that same tree glows softly on our shelf. It can’t be painted over, it won’t fade, and it can’t be left behind.
That is the power of this technology. It takes a fleeting moment—a mural, a wedding day, a pet that has passed—and makes it permanent.
